Book now for the 9th Annual Cornwall Sustainability Awards for Businesses: Awards Ceremony 2011
The awards ceremony for this year’s 9th Annual Cornwall Sustainability Awards will be held on Friday 9th December at the Pavillion Centre, Royal Cornwall Showground.
Book now to ensure a place. This is a very popular event so in order to manage numbers, places will be allocated on a first come first served basis with an initial limit of 4 persons per organisation with additional requests going onto the reserve register.
The event starts at 11.30am with tea and coffee and formal proceedings start at noon (prompt). The event will be free and includes a buffet lunch.
The closing date for entries is now past and as ever we’ve had applications from a vast range of industries, so come along and find out about Cornwall's most sustainable businesses and meet the managers who are leading the way.

Sponsors announced for 2011 Cornwall Sustainability Awards

The sponsors for the 2011 Cornwall Sustainability Awards have been unveiled.
Now in its ninth year the awards recognise environmentally friendly and sustainable businesses from across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Supporting them this year are Wardell Armstrong International, University of Exeter, NISP, Oxford Innovation, Clear about Carbon, Ginsters, Manufacturing Advisory Service in the South West (MAS-SW), Environmental Skills Network, Cornwall Sustainable Buildings Trust, the Environment Agency, and previous winners TJ International.
Other supporters include Follett Stock, Idenna photography, MPAD and Redfuse Internet.
Gitty Ankers MBE, senior environment officer for the Environment Agency Devon and Cornwall, said: “We’re extremely pleased to be able to announce the sponsors for this year’s awards.
“It’s key for us to have the support of local businesses to ensure that this important event on the Cornish business community’s calendar continues to grow and develop. “Cornwall has a great opportunity to lead the way in developing sustainable businesses and the backing of our sponsors is key to helping us spread that message.”
Companies will be able to compete in seven categories including Best Managed Company (Small, Medium and Large), Low Carbon Business, Resource Management, Products and Services, Best Individual, Sustainable Construction, and new for 2011 the Healthy Workplace award.
